Twentyfour Seven Joins Forces with ‘Poor Things’ Co-Producer Stillking Films to create Ánima Stillking

Stillking Films, the production services company known for titles like Yorgos Lanthimos’s Poor Things, has partnered with production company Twentyfour Seven to establish Ánima Stillking, a new production outfit based in Málaga, Spain.

Leading the new venture is Silvia Aráez, who will serve as CEO. Aráez, formerly CEO of Fresco Film, is joined by executive producer María Cabello, whose credits include Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant, Netflix’s Fool Me Once, Black Mirror, and Sony’s The Blacklist. Rounding out the executive team is CFO Cristina Armario, who also previously held the CFO position at Fresco Film.

In addition to its Málaga headquarters, Ánima Stillking has fully staffed offices in key locations across Spain, including the Canary Islands, Barcelona, Madrid, the Basque Country, and Palma de Mallorca. The company is already hard at work with a slate of projects, including multiple Netflix productions and what they describe as “a major anthology series for AMC.” They have also secured financing for a feature film currently in production.

“We bring a wealth of experience to the table: myself, María, and Cristina have all worked as producers on numerous international films in Spain, including navigating tax rebates,” Aráez said, discussing the new venture. “Our partnership with Stillking and Twenty-Four Seven only strengthens our capabilities, as shown by the exciting projects we’ve already begun.”

Ánima Stillking will focus on overseeing all aspects of production, including local tax rebate structuring, pan-European financing options, and location services. The company will leverage an extensive network of local production and government contacts to deliver top-tier results.

Stillking Films, led by CEO Matthew Stillman and head of production David Minkowski, has a well-established network spanning the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, and Serbia. Their credits include Robert Eggers’s Nosferatu, Netflix’s Wednesday, Spiderman: Far From Home, Casino Royale, Bourne Identity, and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Twentyfour Seven, with operations in Santiago, Madrid, Warsaw, Buenos Aires, and the Dominican Republic, specializes in branded content, music videos, commercials, and feature films.

Minkowski remarked, “The most exciting aspect for me is the community we’ve cultivated. We are a network of filmmakers who work in a very personal, hands-on way. At Ánima Stillking, you’ll be working with a new company, but with professionals who have decades of experience. You’ll find a stable, reliable, and professional environment where we know exactly how to make your project a success.”
