The Heart Of Madrid Invaded By A Walker Apocalypse: Filming Begins For The Third Season Of “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon”

Madrid has witnessed an unexpected invasion: hordes of walkers have taken over the bustling heart of the city, just steps away from the iconic Four Seasons Hotel. No, it’s not the end of the world as we know it, but the beginning of the highly anticipated filming of the third season of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,’ the acclaimed spin-off of one of the most successful TV series in modern history.

Adding to the excitement, Ánima Stillking has been part of the production team for this season, bringing their years of expertise into the project.

The filming will be based in Madrid but will also be in various regions of Spain, including Galicia, Aragon, Catalonia, and Valencia, to capture the diverse landscapes the country has to offer. Season two of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol’ will premiere in Spain on AMC+ on October 3, continuing to explore the adventures of Carol (Melissa McBride) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) as they struggle to find their way back home.

Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios, expressed his excitement: “We are incredibly proud of these shows and grateful for the way this new chapter in The Walking Dead Universe has been embraced by fans. Sending Daryl and then Carol to France was an inspired and visually striking move for the franchise. We can’t wait to continue the travels of this iconic duo with a third season produced and set in Spain, another beautiful country with a passionate TWD fan base already buzzing with anticipation.”

Once again, Madrid solidifies its place as a favorite location for major international productions, showcasing its capacity to host large-scale shoots and offering a unique platform that blends history, culture, and stunning landscapes.
